Their teaching is founded upon the soundest of physical, developmental, educational and artistic principles. They prioritise the well-being and growth of the young people they work with, while forging new and challenging pathways to achievable goals.

As the principals of Ballet Academy Northside, Gregor Thieler and Xanthe Geeves have had a long-term relationship with Sydney North Public Schools Dance.

Our organization has engaged them frequently to share their expertise and experience in student workshops (including HSC Dance content) and professional development programs for both primary and secondary teachers.

On every occasion, they demonstrate a deep, sophisticated and contemporary understanding of their art-form and the pedagogy required to impart it.

Their teaching is founded upon the soundest of physical, developmental, educational and artistic principles. They prioritise the well-being and growth of the young people they work with, while forging new and challenging pathways to achievable goals.

They strive for excellence in the training, performance and presentation of their students, while keeping in perspective the needs of the individual. They are at once teachers, mentors and artists.

I have also had the privilege of working on the production staff of their annual shows at the Glen St Theatre. These programs are of the highest artistic integrity, as a result of their attention to every detail in terms of the virtuosity of movement, costume and production design, innovative thematic ideas and beautiful, complex choreography.

Gregor and Xanthe are complete professionals in every way and have my highest possible endorsement.
